It’s the things that you DON’T do that will leave a bitter taste in your mouth 👇
If you’re a relatively ‘normal’ person then the odds of you doing things that you spend the rest of your life regretting and can never come to terms with are pretty minimal.
Yeah, you might have some regrets like you wish you hadn’t said certain things or whatever but over time you’ll learn to forgive yourself, own it, and LEARN whatever lessons need to be learned.
The thing that’s gonna STING when you reach the end of your life and you start looking back isn’t what you did but what you DIDN’T DO:
-Maybe you’ll look back and wish you told that particular person how you really felt.
-Maybe you’ll look back and wish you’d quit that bullshit job you have and gone your own way.
-Maybe you’ll look back and wish you’d taken a risk and gone travelling/married that person/done that thing.
-Maybe you’ll wish you worked out more.
-Maybe you’ll wish you had more sex.
-Maybe you’ll wish you met more people.
-Maybe you’ll wish you hadn’t held back and were braver/more spontaneous/whatever.
Here’s the RUB:
Right now, you’re not looking back – you’re LIVING IT.
You can start making those choices you know that you need to make and stop holding yourself back.
Most people I work with already know what they want to be doing they just want to stop STOPPING THEMSELVES.
Probably, there’s some ‘stuff’ right now that you’re holding yourself back from that will make your life more REAL and allow you to everything that you know you can be.
The only thing holding you back is ‘You’ and the only person who’ll regret it when you’re looking back one day is the same: YOU.
